Consumer Energy Alliance partners with Goose Creek to host Wind Energy Forum

Labor leaders and policy experts discuss wind energy's benefits for workers and local community

Local wind experts gathered at the community forum jointly hosted by Goose Creek Wind and Consumer Energy Alliance in Monticello to discuss wind energy’s impact on workers and the local community.

Wind energy provides careers for workers, but the benefits of these jobs extend beyond those employed by them. Construction and technician jobs bring an increase in local spending and grow the local economy.

Testimonials from multiple stakeholders were presented at the meeting, which included representatives from the Laborers International Union of North America, the Iron Workers Local 380, and the Environmental Law and Policy Center.
