Prosperity Wind
The Prosperity Wind project provides an opportunity to help address Illinois's growing electricity demand with clean, homegrown energy, while diversifying Piatt County economy and supporting jobs in the local community.
Prosperity Wind will create jobs and generate an entirely new source of long-term revenue for local schools, governments, and landowners. In the long term, the project promises to bring sustained tax revenue to the county for the local government and schools, as well as more than 30 years of local purchasing, employment, and investment.

AN ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY FOR PIATT COUNTY
Prosperity Wind will create jobs and generate an entirely new source of long-term revenue for Piatt County, local government services, and property owners. The total direct financial impact to the region will be in the millions of dollars over the life of the project, with additional indirect economic benefits to the local economy.
Landowners that sign up property for the project will receive annual payments. These payments will continue over the projected 30-year lifespan of the wind farm, injecting tens of millions of dollars into the economy of Piatt County to support local merchants, contractors, equipment suppliers, auto dealers, and others. The power from Prosperity Wind will be delivered into the Illinois electrical grid, reducing the need to import electricity from outside markets.
